Now, we all hate pushing paper, but unfortunately, it’s part of everyday life. So let’s rip the band-aid off and get those applications filled out! Here are a few of the necessary QLD licenses that you might find yourself needing, depending on the type of pest control services you plan on carrying out.

Pest management technician licence

If you previously worked as a trainee under a licensed pest management technician, then you will not have obtained this licence yourself. It’s issued by QLD Health, who will inspect your pest management equipment and vehicle. The licence lasts for five years, and costs start at $233.50. It’s recommended that you leave up to two weeks leeway to receive your licence.

Termite management licence

If you wish to carry out services regarding termite management, you’ll need a termite management licence. This will allow you to conduct inspections and use chemicals to prevent and exterminate termite infestations.
